Do you research class action lawsuits of companies that you buy from? Do you participate in those class action lawsuits if you get a notification in your email or by postal mail?
I just received a class action lawsuit postcard about kitchen pots and pans that I love. I have done the research, and although I am satisfied with the product, I have mixed feelings about joining the class action lawsuit. It falls under personal ethics for me, and since I have had no issues with the product in question, I think the refund/settlement should go to those it affected. The class action suit falls under the category of false advertising.
I was in a class action lawsuit against TDBank. They were charging people for overdraft fees and I also had been part of the Penny Arcade coin counting problem.I did not receive very big amounts but I have no regret as I had a problem happen and they treated me like a criminal.I will never bank with them again.I have no regrets in being part of the class action lawsuit against them.
TD Bank does continue to get many of these type of lawsuits against it.The bottom line is that even when they are aware of these problems, their top priority is and remains their shareholders.

Thank you for your response. I’m sorry you had to deal with a banking issue like that. For something like this, I would have definitely joined the class action suit myself.
