I would buy one for him as a gift- Lol I am sure he would not talk to me after that. Maybe you can also suggest he sees a physiotherapist so they can talk to him and also advise on a sort of walking aid that’s good for him.

I see people who are young using canes for whatever reason they need it I think there shouldn’t be a stigma. If you need it you should feel comfortable having one. People will think whatever they will it’s sad people put themselves in possible danger just to try to fit it

When I become the age where I need support to keep me from falling Yes I would definitely use a walking stick.
