Thank you for that Philip, by the way I would if I get the time share my recipe for baking my favourite cake, the “Dundee Cake” But it have so many ingredients to add in it so it a long thing before it even get into the oven. Many English family have their own recipe, but my recipe in my Mum, recipe the best. It’s known as the Queen of Cake, dating several hundred years old. Dating back to the 16th century. If I could remember my history it was baked for a Queen of England, but then again, which Queen???? I well share My Mum, recipe as she like her English history.
