when I was A child my dad would take me to the beach it was called Green Lakes. They had a path around the entire lake and when we finished swimming and me covering my dad in sand up to his neck and watching our sandcastles wash away, we would walk the path it was 2.8 miles. we also would do a 10-mile marathon every year but I’m not entirely sure if we ever finished it or not. What a great question you took me back in time I had totally forgot about that. What a fantastic memory of me and my dad. Thank you for that.
There were times I had to walk home from school because I missed the bus (because teachers would rather hold the entire class after the final bell and not the few bad students 😞).
Anyway, it became normal for me to walk 10 blocks or more on the weekends, even with Uber/Lyft at my disposal. If I have something to listen to, I could walk as long as I need to.
The longest walk to just take a walk for me was 12 miles. One day I just decided I was going to take a long walk. I would like to walk in an event where I would walk further but as of yet, I haven’t. If my life depended upon walking somewhere, yes, I would make it happen. As long of a walk as I needed it to be. Thankfully, I haven’t had to do that.
Thank you, Jill.
I would estimate around 6hrs I have ever walked
Six hours is going a bit long distance. Thank you.
I have walked for 3 hours because there was a holdup and the cars were not moving for hours so we are many on that day that decided to take to our foot walking on the road. Some of us even pull off our clothes
I understand, walking for 3 hours is such a long distance. Thank you Henry. I appreciate your comment.
I can’t remember how many miles, but it was for 2 or 3 hours. I was in a walk a thon and when I got home, I crawled up the stairs. My hands and arms were throbbing.
That seems was a long distance.
Yes, in my mind, body and soul it was! 🙂
That’s right Phyllis.
No Hillary, not really, I once walked Foot Patrol from Luton to London, South East London. Now that was a distance of a life time. Foot Patrol Luton to South East London that about 74 miles all day walking. When your car breaks down then you best make your way home on Foot Patrol before darkness!!
That’s marvellous!!!

That’s great trek. Thank for your comment, Haliday.
