It was the Carpathia.It was the ship that reached them when that other one just sat there all night even when they saw the distress warnings happening.
I saw a documentary years ago about the way the Carpathia got to the Titanic.While the tragedy was happening,the distress signals were happening.That other ship was near,but they made no effort or any acknowledgement that they were aware that the Titanic was in trouble.Even after it sunk,their only statement was ,I guess she has left.My sister was watching that documentary also.She said that those on that ship that did nothing to help were very heartless.They finally stated that they felt bad that the tragedy had happened after it was reported and the rest of the world had been informed.This is what led to folks realizing that there will never be unsinkable ships,and that different measures are to be taken to manage these situations.
