Fruits and vegetables should be washed before slicing or cooking them in any way.There are many chemicals and bacteria that get on these products and safety should be prioritized before eating them.

Because grocery stores spray chemicals on them and if you’re getting them local farmers markets they are dirty with dirt and tons of people handling them

It depends on the veggie…. normally I wash it somehow though unless it’s packaged in a “washed for your convenience” labeled bag.
