The most interesting place I’ve ever been is Istanbul, Turkey.
What made it special was the feeling of standing literally between two continents (Europe and Asia), surrounded by layers of history — Byzantine churches next to Ottoman mosques, ancient spice markets buzzing with modern life, and the scent of strong tea and simit (a Turkish bagel) filling the air. It felt like time was both frozen and moving all at once.
But more than the sights, it was the people — the warmth in their conversations, the pride in their stories, and the way strangers felt like friends by the end of a shared meal. That mix of culture, history, and human connection left a mark on me I’ll never forget.
