The Egyptian God of the Sun is Ra, also known as Re. He’s one of the most important deities in ancient Egyptian mythology, often depicted with a falcon head and a sun disk. Ra was believed to travel across the sky each day in his solar barque, bringing light and life to the world. His journey wasn’t without challenges, though – he’d battle the serpent Apophis in the underworld every night. As the sun god, Ra symbolized creation, order, kingship, and the force of life itself.
