My ten-year-old self would probably be a mix of surprised, curious, and a little proud.
She’d be surprised I didn’t become an astronaut or a dinosaur hunter (as she’d hoped), but she’d love that I still ask big questions and find wonder in small things. She’d be glad I kept a sense of humor, stayed kind even when it was hard, and never fully gave up on dreaming — even if the dreams changed shape.
And she’d definitely ask: “Wait, you mean I still like eating cereal for dinner sometimes?”
Yeah, kid. Some things don’t change — and maybe that’s okay.

You made me smile, Kelvin! I enjoyed reading your comment! You really know how to make your words come alive. Your younger self would be proud of you. Thanks for your comment and your participation!
