That’s a thoughtful question — and one I think many people wrestle with.
In my experience, having options can feel empowering at first. It gives a sense of freedom, control, and possibility. But too many options often lead to what psychologist Barry Schwartz calls the “paradox of choice” — where more options actually increase anxiety, make decisions harder, and leave us less satisfied with what we choose.
I’ve been happiest when I had a meaningful set of options — not an overwhelming number. Enough to feel like I’m steering my life, but not so many that I’m paralyzed by “what ifs.” Clarity and constraints often fuel creativity and gratitude, while endless possibilities can sometimes make contentment harder to find.
So, balance is key. Options matter, but so does knowing what truly matters to you.
It’s hard to choose between the two. For some things, I was happier with limited options. For other things, I find that it’s better to have more options.
That makes sense I can see that thanks for sharing your opinion
