Body language and facial expressions can be ways people use to lie. Or, if someone says, If you did this, just tell me. Not answering, when you actually did, would be a lie. Withholding information can be considered a lie, since it’s a deceptive act.
You’re welcome
Yes, it is possible to lie without saying a word. This is often referred to as a “lie of omission” or a “deception by non-verbal communication.” Here are a few ways this can happen:
1. Omission: This involves intentionally leaving out crucial information to create a false impression. For example, a student might tell their parents they got a good grade on their math test but fail to mention they failed their history test. They haven’t said anything untrue, but they’ve intentionally deceived their parents by not providing the full picture.
2. Non-verbal cues: Actions, gestures, and facial expressions can be used to convey a lie. For instance, someone might nod in agreement to a statement they know is false, or they might feign ignorance with a shrug and a blank stare when asked about a situation they were involved in.
3. Visual manipulation: This involves using objects or images to mislead. A person might show an edited photograph to someone to make it look like they were somewhere they weren’t, or they might arrange objects to create a false narrative. For example, a person might stage a scene in a photo to make it look like they are a professional chef, even though they have no cooking experience.
In all of these cases, the person is not using spoken words to deceive, but they are still intentionally creating a false belief in another person’s mind. This highlights that deception is not limited to verbal communication and can be just as effective through silence and action.

Lying without saying anything happens through silence, and body language. It has also been stated that making eye contact is proof that someone is lying.

You can lie without attering a word, by blinking so much and not wanting to answer questions being imposed to you.

Yes, it’s definitely possible to lie without saying a word. People can lie through body language, facial expressions, or silence
It’s not possible, a word need to come out from your mouth before it can even be called a lie
Eric yes it is possible to lie without saying a word it’s called body language which it speaks volumes thank you for sharing your comment
Yes, it’s very possible to lie without speaking a single word. People can deceive others through:
Body language – e.g., nodding in agreement while actually disagreeing.
Facial expressions – forcing a smile to hide sadness or pretending to be surprised when you’re not.
Silence – withholding the truth when someone expects honesty can also be a form of lying by omission.
Gestures – shrugging shoulders to deny knowledge when you actually know something.
Written or symbolic actions – signing a document or making a gesture that implies agreement when you disagree.
So, lying isn’t only about words—it can also be done through actions, expressions, or deliberate silence.

Jacqueline, it’s not the body that do the laying, it’s the tongue the Speak a lie or the truth. I try not to read baby language I need confirmation by the tangerine that speaks
David the question asks if it is possible to lie without saying a word the answer would be yes and of course I understand you feel the need to hear it from the mouth that is not the answer to this question
That is a very good question, yes Jacqueline, of course I have, but there isn’t much we can do. That is the very reason why we have Laws and rights, we have a right to say nothing. Or we can be Persecuted by body language. We can’t say to anyone that they are lying by not saying a word. That is why I say there nothing much I can do, I don’t Judge anyone by reading body language.
Thank is a very good question I really respect that. No sometimes it is better to keep silent then to speak a lie!!! I wise person will speak nothing. The Book of Daniel. Not everyone want to hear the truth, they will say you lie. Better to be silent say nothing.
