That’s a beautifully thought-provoking question.
Life doesn’t have to be short to be lived differently each day — it’s more about mindset and intention than length. Even in a long life, what matters is whether we stay curious, open, and willing to embrace change, novelty, or small shifts in perspective daily.
That said, if life were extremely short — say, just a few weeks or months — the urgency might force us to focus only on what feels most essential, intense, or meaningful each day. We might avoid routines altogether and treat every moment as unique and irreplaceable.
But the real insight isn’t about shortening life… it’s about widening how we live within the time we have. You don’t need a different life — just different eyes.
So whether life is long or short, we can always choose to notice more, risk more, love more, and live with a little more presence — day by day.
