If people looked the same I think it could be worse and very confusing
You’re welcome Phyllis
Worse!! How boring would that be? Nearly everyone other than those who are pure evil have their own kind of beauty, and looks are only skin deep but I sure wouldn’t want everyone to look exactly the same.
Thank you, Teresa for your comment and for your participation!
This is a fascinating and complex question without a simple answer. Whether the world would be better or worse if everyone looked the same depends on your perspective and what you value most.
Arguments for a better world
Reduced prejudice and discrimination: Many forms of discrimination, such as racism and colorism, are based on physical appearance. If everyone looked the same, these biases would likely be eliminated or at least significantly reduced, fostering a more equitable society.
Increased focus on character: Without physical differences to distract us, we might be forced to judge people based on their actions, ideas, and character. This could lead to a deeper and more meaningful connection between people.
Greater sense of unity: A shared physical appearance could create a powerful feeling of a common humanity, potentially reducing conflict between different groups and fostering global cooperation.
Arguments for a worse world
Loss of individuality and identity: Our unique appearances are often a crucial part of our personal identity and heritage. A world where everyone looks the same could feel sterile and impersonal, erasing the rich diversity that makes humanity so vibrant.
New forms of discrimination: Humans are incredibly adaptable. If physical appearance was no longer a factor, it’s possible that new forms of discrimination would emerge based on other differences, like genetics, skills, or even the subtle variations in how we carry ourselves.
Stifled creativity and culture: Diversity in appearance is often intertwined with cultural diversity. The vast array of global cultures, traditions, and artistic expressions might not have evolved in a world without distinct physical groups. This could lead to a less interesting and innovative world.
Ultimately, a world where everyone looked the same would solve some problems while potentially creating new, unforeseen ones. It’s a trade-off between the potential for greater unity and the invaluable richness that comes from our current diversity.
Great answers, Suzanne! Thank you for your comment and for your participation!
People would judge each other less based on race, looks, or beliefs. I believe that it would be better. I wish things didn’t come down to such petty differences. I believe that a change in people’s hearts would make so much more of an impact.
Nice comment, Mitzi! Thank you for your participation!
You’re welcome
It would be worse if everyone looked the same especially if a crime took place that means everyone would be held accountable even if they didn’t do it the world is already messed up now and everyone don’t look like the same just imagine what it would be like if everyone in the world looked exactly the same
You have a point with that too
It would be a little better, there be no Racism, but there still be evil in the earth, Satan end haven’t come yet!!
If everyone looked the same, the world might seem more equal on the surface, but it could also lose the beauty of diversity.
Our differences help us learn, grow, and appreciate one another.
Great points and thanks for your comment and participation!
It would definitely end racism but then the problem would arise when a crime took place no one would know who done it because everyone looked the same. I would point out it would get boring seeing the same the same people every day.
Excellent, Tammy! Thanks for your comment and participation!
