I’d say “The Shining” (1980) by Stanley Kubrick.
It’s less about jump scares and more about slow-building dread, incredible atmosphere, and psychological tension. The cinematography, symbolism, and Jack Nicholson’s unsettling performance make it a horror movie that stays with you long after it ends.
