I’ve been thinking: if financial pressure disappeared tomorrow, would I still “work”?
The honest answer is yes but differently.
Humans aren’t built to idle for long. Psychology shows we crave purpose, growth, connection, and structure. Global studies confirm it: even lottery winners or financially free people often return to projects, causes, or creative pursuits within months.
So, if money weren’t a concern, I wouldn’t stop working I’d just choose work that matters:
✓Creating or innovating
✓Mentoring and helping others grow
✓Building something lasting
Spending time on what brings joy and fulfillment
Work, at its best, isn’t just about survival it’s about leaving a mark, expressing creativity, and finding meaning.
Money may free us, but purpose keeps us alive, motivated, and thriving.
