What’s the best part of being you?

I have a huge giving heart❣ I love to give and see people smile❣ I am patient and will listen to older people’s stories.

I wrote one lady’s biography; she was in her 90’s. She lived next door, and I would go over to make sure she took her meds and do light housework. I would return at dinner time, fix it and give her meds. I would get her bed ready too. She told me lots of stories, so I decided to bring a notebook. I asked her if I could write and interview her. I scribbled then typed it all up and made copies for her family. They absolutely loved it and wanted to pay me, but I said absolutely no❗

When it was my neighbor’s time, they gave me a special plant, an old sewing machine in a cabinet, a gorgeous yellow & green vase and an old, quilted box full of awesome handkerchiefs. I love handkerchiefs❣ Oh, plus a beautiful old apron❣

I have volunteered at a nursing home and painter the resident’s nail. That was so awesome❣
