The craziest thing that I believed as a child is that when the sun is shining and raining, the devil is beating his wife. I remember getting close to the ground and putting a glass upside down with my ear on the bottom side listening for the devil’s wife voice, who was suppose to be hollering. I actually thought I heard her! Now, wasn’t that crazy!
The craziest thing I believed as a child was that, if you swallow a fruit seeds, it will grow in your stomach.
Come to think of it, I believed the same thing. I made sure I didn’t swallow a seed! This is a good one! Thank you so much for your comment and for your participation!
The craziest thing I believed as a child is that Santa could climb down a chimney into a burning fire place. Children don’t think about the in and outs of a situation. It wasn’t until I got a little older that I realized that even if there were a possibility for Santa (who by the way was a figure of my imagination but that’s another story) to climb down the chimney he wouldn’t have been able to because he was a little bit to pudgy. What I learned from this is so that I won’t believe just any made up cockamamie story again is to do very thorough research about whatever it is especially if it don’t make sense.
Yes, I believed the same as well. It’s one of the biggest lie ever told. Thanks so much for sharin and for your participation!
You are so very welcome Phyllis

Me and my brother thought that if we could dig deep enough, we would fall into hell. One day, my brother made a plan and dug a big hole in my grandmas back yard. When we saw it my grandma got so mad because he went in the shed and dug when he knew we weren’t allowed in there and two, well, there was a huge hole in the yard. When we asked why he did that, he said he was going to dig a hole to hell and beat up the devil lol.
This is a good one! Thanks for sharing and for your participation!
You’re welcome lol
The craziest thing I believed as a child was that the blimp was an atomic bomb and that the jets that were flown during the airshow was in a middle of a war. 1990 was a wild time for me lol.
Wow! Sounds interesting! Thank you so much for sharing and for your participation!
I learnt this in school, but I really can’t remember!!

The craziest thing I believed as a child was something my dad said to my younger brother. We were on the beach, and a thunderstorm rolled in fast. We were walking back to the beach house that my parents had rented, and my brother started running. MY dad told my brother to stop and walk calmly, as the lightning could sense his fear and would be more likely to strike us. I believed it for several years and finally realized dad was just trying to keep my brother within eyesight as the rain was just pouring down with little visibility.
Now, this is a good one! I’ve never heard of it before, but I like it. I just might use this one with my great niece! She likes to run! It just might slow her down! 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing and for your participation!
One time i believed that the world was ending because the sky was red but it was just the sunset.

The craziest thing I believed as a child was that if a food I was eating fell on the floor, and I picked it up to eat, I’d be eating what the devil might have tasted
