What do you think about giving money to panhandlers?

It depends on the situation.However,there are many panhandlers who are either persistent and aggressive.There are also those who tell you how much to give them.It is not that I would not help them,but threats don’t inspire anyone who would like to help.Some of these panhandlers do not recognize that appreciation and gratefulness would benefit them accepting whatever help they are offered.

Panhandlers are on our busy street corners. I don’t think this should be allowed. They are a distraction and could cause an accident.

The last panhandler I saw the other day, looked at me and I folded my hands and said I will pray for you then my light turned green to go.

The one prior walked towards me as I was getting out of car. I put my hand up and said Do not approach me and he turned around.

I have a gave a little before, but I found out they collect and go straight to liquor store for alcohol, cigs and lottery tickets. I know someone who knows a few.

I always give to the Salvation bell ringers, World Wildlife Fund, Humane Society❣

If I can afford to, then I’m more than happy to spare some extra cash.

but I do not know if that person is really going to use that money to help themselves or buy drugs or alcohol

in a perfect world I really would like to say there are resources for help and the library you can use a computer to apply for jobs and look for organizations for help

but I do not want to be cursed out or hurt physically

I don’t like to see them. I feel sorry for the ones that is actually hungry but some of them be lying saying they homeless and hungry to get drug money 

It is not a good idea to give money to panhandlers because most people who do that are doing it mostly for drugs or alcohol
