The last pennies minted in the United States were produced on November 12, 2025, at the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia, marking the end of over 230 years of penny production. The final five one-cent coins were stamped with a special omega mark and are set to be auctioned to the public, potentially fetching millions due to their rarity. This historic event signifies the conclusion of the penny’s circulation, which has been a part of American currency since 1793.

I have saved some. Here in New York City,we can and do still deposit them at CoinStar. Also, the news articles state that while the production of the Penny has stopped, they will still remain in circulation as there are still 300 billion of them still out there. So that means that no matter what, what to do with the remainder are what the public is stuck with The only valuable pennies out there are the collector type, such as the 1922 plain, and the 1914D.You can look these up online under Yahoo or Google by typing in Valuable Pennies.

Yes, we do have some extra old ones that we saved long time ago. They are in a special container. We have never checked them for value yet.

Thank you very much for the additional information, Myriam☘❣❣
