Some people do care about mental health and know from their own experience that depression, anxiety, and other conditions are real. Others who have never dealt with it themselves or with family members or friends sadly think it’s all in people’s heads and they should just “get over it.” I don’t think mental health issues are any more common than they were decades ago, I think people are more open about it today.
Some people genuinely care about mental health, seeking help and supporting others, while others treat it like a trend for attention or social acceptance. Awareness has increased, which is good, but the challenge is making sure conversations turn into real action, empathy, and support—not just posts and hashtags.
