Every year ends with reflection, promises, and fresh hopes.
People look back, make plans, and tell themselves stories about what the next year will bring.
Some of those stories are motivating.
Others quietly hold people back.
This question isn’t about judging anyone—it’s about thinking honestly.

👉 And how does it affect the way people live, work, or make decisions?

The only one I can think of right now is the new year resolution. People tend to list the things they have achieved or not throughout the year and plans to do better the following year. But, I don’t think a lot of people eventually follow through with their plans for the new year based on some reasons which includes laziness for some people and unforeseen circumstances for others and not wanting to take risks that would be the birth of the listed plans for some other people.
