This is a tough situation, and people react very differently. Some believe the best move is to expose the person publicly and warn others. Others say you should stay quiet, document everything, and handle it only through legal channels. Which approach do you think is smarter—and why? Please share your reasoning (and what risks you see in the approach you didn’t choose).
You do not go public. You go controlled and legal.
Engaging public increases risk, fuels escalation and can compromise any future actions. The correct response is to secure evidence, limit interactions, report through official channels and involve enforcement support where appropriate.
Public statement should only be made under legal guidance.

Go legal only.
Don’t “fight back” publicly, that almost always backfires, gives them more ammo, more attention, and hands them fresh screenshots to twist. Extortion and cyberstalking thrive on escalation and drama. Document everything quietly, preserve evidence, then hand it straight to police or a lawyer who knows cybercrime/harassment law in your province. Public call-outs feel good for like 12 seconds and then you’re usually the one dealing with worse blowback.
Keep your hands clean, let the system do the dirty work.
