Jesus is the central figure of Christianity believed by Christians to be the Son of God, fully divine and fully human, born around 4–6 BC in Bethlehem to Mary, crucified under Pontius Pilate around AD 30–33 in Jerusalem, and resurrected three days later.
To his followers, he’s the promised Messiah (Christ), savior who died for humanity’s sins, defeated death, and offers eternal life through faith in him. To historians (even non-religious ones), he’s a real 1st-century Jewish preacher and healer from Galilee whose teachings sparked the largest religion in history.
To Muslims, he’s a major prophet (Isa) born of a virgin, but not divine or crucified. To most Jews, he was a teacher or failed messianic claimant. To everyone else? Usually just “that guy the Christians are always talking about.”
One name, billions of interpretations. Still the most influential person who ever lived. ✝️
