“Follow your passion” sounds inspiring… but is it actually good advice?
Some people say passion is the fuel that makes hard work feel easier—and that it leads to success if you stay consistent. Others say it’s a trap that keeps people dreaming, switching directions, and avoiding the boring-but-profitable skills that actually build a stable life.
So what do you think?
Is “follow your passion” a smart life strategy… or one of the biggest traps?
And if you’ve tried it: did it help you—or hurt you? 👇
Following ones passion isn’t bad in itself, as it gives you structure, clarity and direction. However, overtime there had really been an issue of identification.
People feels that their passion is what they do at the moment, when in the real sense, that’s just a momentarily pleasure, and when they find something else, their passion twitch towards it, but then, the courage to admit that the previous wasn’t their passion isn’t there.
So they get stuck trying to prove more to themselves that the previous was their passion, when in the real sense, it isn’t.
Generally, I don’t think there is a one thing called passion. Passion moves and changes, only individuals that refuses to change with it get trapped and stuck.
