“Follow your passion” sounds inspiring… but is it actually good advice?
Some people say passion is the fuel that makes hard work feel easier—and that it leads to success if you stay consistent. Others say it’s a trap that keeps people dreaming, switching directions, and avoiding the boring-but-profitable skills that actually build a stable life.
So what do you think?
Is “follow your passion” a smart life strategy… or one of the biggest traps?
And if you’ve tried it: did it help you—or hurt you? 👇
Follow your passion can be a good advice actually, it can be motivating, but it’s a trap if taken literally without a plan. Most people don’t start with a clear passion, and waiting for one can leave you stuck. Passion usually grows after you build skills, see progress, and create value in the real world. When paired with discipline, skill-building, and practical understanding, following your passion can be powerful, but it works best as a guide, not a strict rule.
