“Follow your passion” sounds inspiring… but is it actually good advice?
Some people say passion is the fuel that makes hard work feel easier—and that it leads to success if you stay consistent. Others say it’s a trap that keeps people dreaming, switching directions, and avoiding the boring-but-profitable skills that actually build a stable life.
So what do you think?
Is “follow your passion” a smart life strategy… or one of the biggest traps?
And if you’ve tried it: did it help you—or hurt you? 👇
On the positive side, pursuing something you’re passionate about can bring fulfillment, energy, and a sense of purpose.
But on the flip side, it can also be misleading or a trap. For some, passion doesn’t always translate into practical or sustainable career opportunities. So, I will say it’s a double edged sword.
