“Follow your passion” sounds inspiring… but is it actually good advice?
Some people say passion is the fuel that makes hard work feel easier—and that it leads to success if you stay consistent. Others say it’s a trap that keeps people dreaming, switching directions, and avoiding the boring-but-profitable skills that actually build a stable life.
So what do you think?
Is “follow your passion” a smart life strategy… or one of the biggest traps?
And if you’ve tried it: did it help you—or hurt you? 👇
To answer this question, I will first like to say, NOTHING IS GUARANTEED IN LIFE. So, following passion doesn’t mean you’ll be successful and vice versa.
Yes, your passion makes anything you’re doing easier because you’re enjoying the ride while it last. Some followed their passion and it ended well while some did and all they have when older is bunch of stories of adventure but no success.
My conclusion, following passion can lead to success but it can also be a trap eventually if there’s no success from it. But even if you didn’t make “success” (as success on it own is subject to different definitions per school of thoughts), you still have good memories following your passion.
