“Follow your passion” sounds inspiring… but is it actually good advice?
Some people say passion is the fuel that makes hard work feel easier—and that it leads to success if you stay consistent. Others say it’s a trap that keeps people dreaming, switching directions, and avoiding the boring-but-profitable skills that actually build a stable life.
So what do you think?
Is “follow your passion” a smart life strategy… or one of the biggest traps?
And if you’ve tried it: did it help you—or hurt you? 👇
Follow your passion” ,can be helpful, but it can also mislead.
It becomes a trap when you wait to feel passionate before taking action. In reality, passion often grows after you build skills and see progress. Many passions don’t pay the bills, and every job includes boring and difficult parts.
It works when your passion has real demand, when you enjoy the daily work (not just the idea of it), and when you’re willing to struggle for years.
A smarter rule: build useful skills first. Create stability. Get good at something valuable in life that will always show a sign of responsibility 👍.
Passion often follows progress — not the other way around💚.
