“Follow your passion” sounds inspiring… but is it actually good advice?
Some people say passion is the fuel that makes hard work feel easier—and that it leads to success if you stay consistent. Others say it’s a trap that keeps people dreaming, switching directions, and avoiding the boring-but-profitable skills that actually build a stable life.
So what do you think?
Is “follow your passion” a smart life strategy… or one of the biggest traps?
And if you’ve tried it: did it help you—or hurt you? 👇
Follow your passion is a good advice when :
1. Your passion alignes with a real skill you are developing.
2. You understand it may take time and discipline.
3. You can handle uncertainties and setbacks.
It becomes a trap when :
1. You expect passion to always feel exciting .
2. You think passion should come first before effort.
3. You quit stable opportunities chasing vaque dreams.
4. You wait to “feel passionate” before taking actions.
With these points of mine, I think it’s a mixture of both.

I love your choice of response. Bravo
