Easy. Babies are having babies with babies. I’m not saying every young female and every young male parent lacks maturity. But being a teen parent or being a parent in their early twenties are two different types of maturities. You can’t raise a child by yourself; it takes a village, even if you have a significant other present in the child’s life as well. Some people like to have a kid because their friends have them but don’t realize the level of responsibility because they only see their godchildren for two hours and go home. Being a parent is a 24-hour job, and you don’t know that until you become a parent. One of the best jobs in the world but one of the hardest as well. But I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Social media has teens moving too fast nowadays. Don’t rush being a kid; you’re only a kid for 19 years, and you’re an adult for the rest of your life.
Teenagers today try to avoid listening to parents and grandparents, and think it’s not cool to be like an older person from what I hear teens calling adults old. It seems they are not educating themselves to living for getting themselves comfortable with success and other important aspects first. Some teens think they will have support, and know what their doing to have a baby.
Thanks Sa’adallah!
First: I am not trying to offend any one.
Lack of education. Not just sex education but human development education. Everything in the body is connected.
I also think it has to do with religious beliefs. A lot of religions don’t believe in birth control or teaching sex education. Also fear, and that sex is taboo. It’s not.
Teenagers are going to do what ever they want, why not educate them so they can be prepared. Just telling them “it’s wrong” or “abstinence is the way” or something concerning a religious belief does not work.
Education is the best way. Real education. Especially about birth control, condoms, cleanliness, and how to be safe.
I agree with you ma’am
Thank you.
Excellent submission
Thanks.
One solid reason?
Lack of proper sex education.
A lot of teenagers are curious and already sexually active, but they don’t really understand how pregnancy works, how to protect themselves, or they’re fed myths from friends and social media instead of facts. When curiosity meets misinformation, mistakes happen and pregnancy becomes the result
That was an amazing answer and so true for the time we are in. I am older and am not on social media and didn’t think of that.
Parents avoid the talk, schools rush the topic, so teens learn from friends, porn, and social media. Everybody hypes sex, nobody cares to explain the consequences.
Also peer pressure + curiosity + no protection = pregnancy
So true.
Is because abandoned parental responsibility and lack of home training on the part of teenagers. Influence of peer group and friends also contribute to it
You hit the nail on the head. Bravo!!!

You’re on point
