Because connections are one of the strongest forces of nature in the world. Not just business-wise, having connections, but on a personal level as well. Example: when boys and girls grow up they have friends of the same sex and the opposite sex, which refers to them as their homeboy or homegirl or just my homie. That connection you have with your homies growing up is different level, because you grow to care for them and love them as family. Growing up as a kid that all you know, until you start to experience life and now you end up having a girlfriend if you are a boy and a boyfriend if you are a girl. The connection you build from having friends early on in life leads you up to this point. You were shown how to build genuine friendships based on nothing but knowing each other from school, mutual friends or from your neighborhood. Now you look for that in the opposite sex. Some of the best relationships that last a long term are the ones that started off as friends first. Now, when you add love in front of the connection, the force becomes a much stronger force if that person is for you.
