Humans traditionally have five sense organs, each responsible for a different sense:
Eyes – for sight (vision) 👀
Ears – for hearing (sound) 👂
Nose – for smell 👃
Tongue – for taste 👅
Skin – for touch ✋
These organs help the brain receive information from the environment, allowing us to see, hear, smell, taste, and feel the world around us.
However, modern science suggests humans may actually have more senses, such as balance (vestibular sense) and body position awareness (proprioception).
Quick question for you:
Did you learn about the five senses in school, or were you taught about the additional senses too?
