In your first month, your technical output matters less than your reliability. People will form opinions based on these three things:
Be early: If the meeting starts at 9:00, be there (or on the Zoom call) at 8:58.
Write everything down: Never walk into a meeting without a notebook or a way to take notes. It shows you value the information being shared.
Ask “The Second Question”: Don’t just ask how to do a task; ask why it’s done that way. Understanding the context makes you more valuable than someone who just follows instructions.
