Power and fame are not the same. Power is the ability to influence, control, or make decisions that affect others. Fame is being widely known or recognized by people. A person can be famous without having power, like a celebrity who is admired but cannot make important decisions. Likewise, someone can have power without being famous, like a behind-the-scenes leader who controls outcomes but few people know. While power can attract fame, and fame can give influence, they are distinct: power changes things, fame draws attention.
