In life, many things happens which may not really go the way one really plan and prepared for. How would you feel if your boss at work is your far junior in school, will you respect and honor him/ her.
Just like we all know that “life is not fair” of course its not the end of the world, for me, I will feel awkward for the first one to two weeks but then life goes on. Work must be done .

It might feel a bit awkward at first, but it shouldn’t matter. I’d treat them as my boss and focus on work, not the past.
