Social media isolate people from the real people who are around them. Then connects them to people who doesn’t even know they exist. We become fans of celebrities who doesn’t even know us, we spend time following up with their content but our loved ones who are presently and physically there with us lacks our attention. They beg for our time while we chase clout on social media… Lols
Social media does both—it connects people and isolates them, depending on how it’s used.
On one hand, it allows people to stay in touch across distances, build communities, and share ideas instantly, which can strengthen relationships and create opportunities. On the other hand, excessive or passive use can lead to comparison, reduced real-life interaction, and a sense of loneliness or disconnection.
In reality, social media isn’t the problem—the way it’s used is. When used intentionally to engage, learn, and build meaningful connections, it connects people. When used mindlessly or as a substitute for real interaction, it can lead to isolation.
Social media both connects people and can make them feel isolated. It helps individuals stay in touch, share experiences, and find communities, especially across long distances. However, too much use—especially passive scrolling—can reduce real-life interaction and lead to loneliness. Overall, its impact depends on how it is used.!!!
