You are welcome!
forgive, yes but do not forget so that you can protect yourself from their future wrongs or similar from someone else. You find a way to respond to challenging and upsetting occurrences which are out of your control.
A teachable moment even though it may hurt. Thank you for your comment.
My pleasure Josie, it’s a very good question!
Yes i can forgive life is all about second and even third chances, but i will also be aware of the past. I am always willing to put myself out there if there is chance for positive change.
Very inspiring, thank you for your comment.
Forgiveness is a complex and deeply personal decision that varies depending on the circumstances and the individuals involved. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, but here are some considerations:
- Understanding the Situation: It’s important to understand the nature and extent of the wrongdoing. Consider the circumstances surrounding the situation, the impact it had on you, and whether the person has shown genuine remorse or made efforts to make amends.
- Your Well-Being: Forgiveness can be beneficial for your own mental and emotional well-being. Holding onto anger and resentment can lead to stress and negative emotions. Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting what happened or condoning the behavior, but rather, it’s a choice to let go of the negative feelings associated with the wrongdoing.
- Reconciliation: Forgiveness doesn’t always mean reconciliation. You can choose to forgive someone without necessarily restoring the relationship to what it was before. Sometimes, maintaining boundaries or distancing yourself from the person is necessary for your own safety and well-being.
- Personal Values: Consider your own personal values and beliefs about forgiveness. Some people view forgiveness as a fundamental aspect of their spiritual or moral beliefs, while others may have different perspectives on the matter.
- Self-Reflection: Take time to reflect on your own feelings and motivations. Are you ready to forgive, or do you still need more time to process your emotions? It’s okay to take as much time as you need before making a decision.
- Communication: If you’re considering forgiveness, it can be helpful to communicate with the person who wronged you. Express how their actions affected you and what you need in order to move forward. Effective communication can facilitate understanding and healing for both parties.
Ultimately, whether or not to forgive someone who has wronged you is a deeply personal decision that only you can make. It’s important to prioritize your own well-being and consider what will bring you peace and closure in the long run.
To each’s own. A person has to live with the decision they make in wether to forgive or not. Thank you for your comment!
Me and my friends was talking about this,
I would not forgive
It’s a personal choice. Thank you for commenting
yes you can forgive someone who does you wrong
Thank you for commenting
I have done a lot of forgiving for those who have done me wrong as I am not perfect either. However, that being said, I have also altered my interactions with people who fall into this category to protect myself and my feelings. Some I still talk to but not like I used to and some not at all because I know they will do it again.
I wouldn’t blame some one for not forgiving a person due to the situation.
Thank you, and I agree. Forgiveness is an option
Forgiving someone definitely has levels. For my times I have forgiven someone, it has helped me let go of their issues.
It is easy to say forgive but in reality it’s the hardest to let go of any wrongdoing someone caused us. But for peace of mind we just move on and learn to forgive.
I agree, and yes to let go can be hard.
Yes, it is best to let go and let God, I personally refuse to hold malice and contempt in my heart, I receive my lesson, and live my best life. Life is short, enjoy every day you have been blessed to see.
God is always in control, thank you for commenting!
I always forgive and try to work it out for the better…
Thank you for commenting, that’s very highly of you!
Sure I can. Not sure if I’d every want anything to do with that person if they do me wrong twice though.
I agree with you there will not be a third try, you can not play baseball with my feelings, or worse.
Thank you!
I can forgive and avoid them.
Avoiding someone is easy.

Yes I can forgive but not forget.
only God can forget.
That’s because GOD isn’t hanging out sin over our head. Forgiven and done.
I forgive others for myself not for those who hurt me if that makes sense, because nine times out of ten they don’t even care to have your forgiveness but in order for you to heal, thrive, and move on you need to forgive them for your own peace of mind and stay away and learn from the lesson.
This I agree with. I forgive not because of what the person has done, but to release the hurt that was endured. To heal the heart.
I can forgive. But you better not do it again. You have to earn my trust again.
That is understandable. Thank you!
I always forgive, but the relationship will probably be different going forward
I agree. Thank you
That is true! Thank you
For me it is dependent on a few factors. Who has done me wrong. I.e if it was a work colleague compared to an immediate family member as I’d have a lot more tolerance and leniency towards a family member. Also the type of wrong it is as some can’t be forgiven. I always like to take time away before making decisions of importance. If someone is not conducive to my life, generally they have no place in it, again immediate family members are different such as siblings.
Forgiving someone outside of your love one hits different, IMO

Thank you so very much! I am Very Excited!
