📵 Take Back Our Classrooms — Phones Out, Focus In.
Classrooms were once places of focus.
Today, many students sit behind glowing screens — scrolling, messaging, watching, distracted.
Teachers compete with algorithms.
Lessons compete with social media.
Attention spans shrink.
Students report rising anxiety, social pressure, and constant digital comparison. Teachers report increased disruption and declining engagement.
This is not about blaming students.
It’s about creating an environment where learning can actually happen.
Phones are powerful tools — but they are also designed to capture attention, not support concentration.
We are asking for:
• Phone-free classrooms during instructional time
• Secure storage solutions during school hours
• Clear emergency access protocols
• Strong digital literacy education alongside policy
Schools should be safe spaces for thinking, growth, and real human connection.
If we don’t set boundaries now, distraction will define the next generation’s education.

🙂R M M D February 19, 2026Boundaries in the classroom should be set. There should be strict rules on phones being brought to school. Schools should implement a no tolerance on phones. They should be taken if brought and a parent or guardian should have to come and pick up. The student should have to complete a mandatory lesson on rules and regulations. Education is so important especially being able to read and write. Please care for our schools, teachers and the students. Thank you‼

Student may engage on social media or games and can even use it to cheat during examination. So it causes distraction and should be put off completely in the classroom
