Money matters between friends and family often cause contention. I’m sure that all of us here have experience of this. It never matters how good a friend or how close a family member, there is always one that you should never lend money to! Go!
I have experienced this, but the relationship was far more important, so forgave and worked really hard to restore the relationship. Way more important to have family.
