I never lend money to Family or friends. If i have extra i will give it to them, but only if i can afford to. After all its only money, i know we all need it and always could use a little more. But Family and friends mean more to me than money ever will.
Some times giving is food for the soul!! Thank you William!!
Some people think because its family its ok to do some of the things they do. Sometimes we have to set boundaries with families especially when it comes to money.
100 Natasha! Boundaries. Family takes issues with that word when it comes to money!
If you have money some of your friends and family will be impressive at you. If someone ask you to help them, but if you couldn’t help them. They will be avoid you. If you have to give them enough money give them help, but do not believe 100% will be comeback from them, so please don’t give them all what you have. I write by my experiences.

I had examples where this happened to me. Also I learned from someone that when it comes to that, stay silent or just tell them that you don’t borrow or lend. The worst experience was from a former colleague who borrowed from me more than three times.never repaid.and then stole from me twice. She never thought I would stop helping her but that did come about. So she had no choice but to move on to other people who saw her trick and wanted nothing more to do with her afterwards. The thing to co is tell them to either pay themselves or find ways to earn. The lesson is that no one who supposedly loves you should get to live off of you.
From my experiences, I have found that the ones that I use to lend to, felt like the reason they didn’t pay me back was because I either didn’t need my money back or as they would say, they forgot they owed me. So, with that said, I will not lend to them ever again. If I do give them something, I do not expect it back. I think it wrong not to pay a person back the money that they lend you. The Bible clearly says, if you owe a man you pay him back. I do understand there may be a time when you can not pay back so at least tell that person, I know I owe you and I will pay you. Give the person something. Another reason is just plain, greed.
Phyllis, even here people who barrowed money immediately striked by dementia.
You should either don’t lend any money to anyone, or if you do, you should forget it and should never wait for it to be paid back, because in most cases they don’t pay your money back, and so you will get upset. So, either don’t lend, or if you do, just consider it as a donation that is not supposed to be paid back. If you do so, your relationships won’t be affected because of money, unless someone keeps asking for money when they learn that you don’t expect to receive your money back.
Thats very true better give what is appropriate and expect nothing to come back.
Yes atv the time of giving, your mindset needs to be that of donation, so that it doesn’t affect you mentally and no worry about when it will come back. Keep that to yourself, and don’t chase the person for the money. But don’t lend them again! Lol
Human by nature is greedy. Greed makes us selfish short tempered anxious and jealous of others. But if conscience work can overcome greediness. Be content with what we have, Work hard to achieve our dreams and give our family a better life but always guard our heart against greed. Focus our mind on more valuable things in life than money.
I went through a few experiences with that.I took someone to court for that amount of money.I also had to get a judgement recovery service to assist with that.I did get it back, but I learned this.It is not your obligation to give to any so called friend or family member. They can become angry, but they will have to look elsewhere for help .
