Usually in formal or informal first dates, it’s the guy who pays for the lunchdate or the dinner date, but if he can’t do that, for some reasons, then that would be a great turn-off for me, especially if he insisted on the date, unless if he forgot his card or cash. For me, first impression lasts. But I won’t demand either.
