After assessing the situation, ensuring it is not a setup or staged act, I would cautiously approach the person with kindness and ask the person what are they doing and why, speaking out so that the blind person can hear the conversation. I would attempt to settle the matter with verbal demonstrations containing life lessons scenarios.
Especially if money is what the person was attempting to steal from the blind, I would explain the importance of why committing such actions aren’t great ideas. I would also inform them about asking and not stealing along with the consequences behind it all.
Then to wrap things up, possibly lead them to where they could make money so they don’t have to steal. Tell them to try it, to try asking me if I could spare the amount of money they were asking, explain to them they may not always get what they want or need, dig in my bag or pocket, and give them an extra $20 more than what they’d asked for. I’d do it in an effort to ignite a change of heart and a change in their ways for them to become the better person of themselves.
First off that’s wrong on so many levels but I would go after the person and call police
That’s a good answer, Sara! Thanks so much for responding to this question. Have a nice evening!
I would call the police and while doing so,get folks to draw attention and hold the thief until the police arrive.
Nice answer, Myriam! You are a very kind, thoughtful and brave person. Stay safe and Thank you so much for your answer and have a wonderful day!
Thank you for your response.
Congratulations on receiving a 40,000,000-point reward for this question🙂❤️🌺🌹
Thank you so, so much! I appreciate the reward!
I would restrain the thief, if safe to do so, give back to the blind and ask if they wanted to press charges.
Great answer, Lee! Yes, only, if safe to do so and thanks so much for answering this question! Have a great day!
I would chase him down and return the belonging to the blind person as a good Samaritan.
Well, a great samaritan you are! Thanks so much for responding to this question! Stay safe, my friend and have a great day!
If I saw somebody trying to pull that, I’d have to step in, no hesitation. I mean, that’s just too low, taking advantage of someone like that. I’d probably call them out directly, or at least make enough noise to scare them off and let them know people are watching. Then I’d go up to the person who was being targeted, make sure they’re okay, and let them know what happened.
Just thinking about it makes me mad! It’s one thing to be a thief, but it’s a whole other level of wrong to mess with someone who’s more vulnerable.
With having a blind daughter myself, I would step in and absolutely defend the person and help them. I know from first hand experience on how people will try to take advantage of blind people as I have raised a blind child. It is unacceptable behavior and they would need to learn that.
Great answer, Lakeshia! You are such a nice kind and thoughtful person. We appreciate these steps you have shown to protect yourself and the blind person. We hope and pray that you never have to experience such crime against anyone. However, if you, please remain safe and we thank you so much for responding to this question. Have a wonderful day, Lakeshia!
I will call police to help them.
Great answer, Dim! I know the blind person would really appreciate that and thank you so much for answering the question! Have a nice day!
I’d probably call for help or try to make a scene to draw attention, so the thief would stop. It’s important to stand up for others in situations like that.
Great answer, Denise! This sounds like something I might do to stand up for a blind person who is in a situation like that. This tells me that you care about others. Thank you so much for responding to this question. Have a great day, Denise!
I would inform the police
Great answer, Eric! Informing the law enforcers is a very wise choice. I would do the same. Thank you for answering this questions. Have a wonderful day.
I would try to stop them and If I couldn’t alone, I’d get someone to help me.
Great answer! You are very wise, kind and thoughtful! I know the victim would be very grateful for you. Thank you for answering the question.
You’re welcome Phyllis
Held him and call the cop but in Nigeria I will get the stolen goods and let him go
Depends on the location. If no one else was around i would corner them and get back what was stolen. If i was In a store i would follow them and make a report to public safetey and the employeees and if needed would apprehend the suspect untill help arrives to retrieve it.
Nice answer

Great answer, Olivia! You are indeed kind, thoughtful and very brave! If, this ever happens, please think of your safety, as well. Approaching this type of person could be dangerous for both involved. Maybe, getting a good description of the person, maybe, even taking a video recording of what happened would help to prosecute the mean, evil person. Ensuring the safety of the blind person is very important, as well. Thanks so much, Olivia for sharing with us and answering this question. Have a wonderful day!
KNOCK EM OUT!!! zzzzz
Wow, Jaydell! I am speechless right now! That’s a good one! Thanks so much for your answer!
Some people need some sense knocked into them!!! ♀️
Thank you!!!
The circumstances would be important. But I’m a short woman in a country with strict laws about carrying anything to defend yourself. Even Pepper spray is illegal. If i witnessed, for example, a man mugging somebody in a quiet area. I would be unlikely to get directly involved, my own safety and well-being would be more important to me then recovering possessions or money. I would stay with the victim and do anything I could to help, and I’d call the police and provide them with the best information possible.
Great answer, Cheryl! You would be doing the right thing to ensure your well being and safety as well. That’s very important. I know the victim would appreciate you contacting the law enforcers for them. Thank you for your kindness and be thoughtfulness. I appreciate you answering the question and have a wonderful day!
What ever i can to make it right with out causing any further danger to any one.
Great answer, Jorg! Thanks for submitting your answer! Have a great weekend.
Have a great weekend too!!! Wonderful to see you the site!!!
I would trip the thief up take back what they stole and give it back to the owner. I would then report it
Thank you, Ben for your answer. I know the victim would be greatly appreciative for your support. You are a very kind and thoughtful person to want to assist someone who can’t defend for themselves. If, this should ever happen, please remember to put your safety first. We don’t want anything to happen to you and again, thanks for your answer.
I would be safe, that’s for sure. Thank you
I would try to spray the person stealing with pepper spray mace, and call 911 to report the person stealing from a blind person. The situation could get worse and the person straining could try to attack me, and would need to defend myself also.
Great answer, Lynette! Thanks for answering the question. Yes, you must think of your safety as well. Have a great weekend and stay safe!
Have a great day, hope you stay safe too Phyllis.

Yes, great answer, Latasha! I never thought about this situation being a set up or being staged. Yes, that happens all the time and we can get tricked or injured trying to do the right thing. I am so glad that you pointed this out. We all have to be aware of things like this and know how to handle the situation without anyone getting injured and loss of life. That can happen, as well. Thank you so much, Latasha for being so compassionate and kind, not only to the blind person but to the both of them. To take out time and concern shows you actually care for people. Thanks for sharing with us and responding to this question. Have a wonderful, Latasha!
