I think a lot of what you see other people be scared of growing up impacts it too.

Traumatic Experiences: Many phobias start after a person has a frightening or traumatic encounter with a specific object or situation (like being bitten by a dog, which could lead to cynophobia — fear of dogs).
Observational Learning: Even without a direct experience, just seeing or hearing about someone else’s negative experience can cause a phobia. For example, a child watching a parent panic during a thunderstorm may develop astraphobia (fear of thunder and lightning).
Genetic Predisposition: Some people may be more prone to anxiety disorders and phobias due to their genetic makeup. If a close family member has a phobia, it can increase the likelihood that you might develop one too.
Learned Behavior: Phobias can also stem from how we were raised. Overprotective or anxious parenting, for instance, can lead a child to see the world as a dangerous place.

Childhood experiences, parental influences, even genetics

because people are different
Great choice of words Mina thanks for sharing your comment
Phobias can develop based on various factors, including personal experience, genetic predisposition, and brain functioning. Personal trauma, especially experienced in childhood or early life, can leave a mark in the form of fears, as well as the influence of parents and surroundings, through which a person may acquire certain fears. The nervous system in some individuals may overreact to potential threats, leading to the development of phobias. An important factor is also heredity: if there is a tendency for anxiety disorders in the family, the likelihood of phobias appearing in descendants increase

Thank you, I found it interesting to think about this question
We are all different and we have different life experiences that make us have different phobias. That is my own perception.

No worries. Happy to share
Experiences in life, especially in childhood, give some people phobias. I think many people go through traumatic events that may cause phobias, and I believe some are inherited because they are observed or learned as a child from their parents’ phobias!

You’re welcome my friend as always!
Different life experiences or maybe it was self taught to be afraid of something. We are all different from different places.

Every person is different that is why we have different phobias.

I think phonias come from negative and traumatic experiences in our lives. However I think in other cases, no matter what we are or are not exposed to, we just have a fear of something that comes from within.
That was meant to be phobias and not phonias. Sorry about the typo!!! I didn’t catch it before I submitted it.
I think its fragments of memories from past lives

the reason why people have different phobias is because something tragedy could of happen like someone died in front of them their personality the things they saw when they grew up and that could cause people to be afraid different things.

no problem Jacqueline 🙂
I believe some phobias are created in our minds. I have created a lot of them in my mind. Some are so crazy, I will keep to myself. Some may have been from an experience in my younger days and I brought them into my adult life.

I think it could be based off what triggers a person mentally. Great question Jacqueline.
