Slavery!!! The white people Invading of Africa and killing and inslaving the African people. This is very important history that should be teaching in schools not hidden. This is true history and very important to the world schools about history of Slavery!!
I agree that slavery is true to history but it honestly cannot be taught in schools not without causing chaos because it is a very sensitive subject that is racially profiled specially toward the black race so I don’t think because of that it would be a great idea anyway thanks David for sharing your comment
They teach children about slavery in schools – at least my older one learned a lot about it in history classes during secondary school. I remember she even had a test on that chapter. We talked about it in quite a lot of detail. I want to add that her school is very diverse, with students from many different nationalities.
Money management, financial planning, why good credit is important, I think kids should be taught a lot more about money, budgeting, and financial topics that will no doubt affect them when they’re on their own.
They do teach that it used to be called home economics in grade school thanks Teresa for sharing your comment
I’m so old my time was way before that lol you’re welcome Jacqueline and I’ll keep my nearly 65 year old mouth shut about school subjects lol
life skills like changing a tire, money management, and how to do basic taxes,
Great choice Dawn and thank you for sharing your comment
Saving money and investment 101. It is never part of our curriculum but i wish it is added. It should much early in life education.

I believe that young people in school should be taught how to manage their money. Do not spend all your money without saving. Whether it is $10.00 to $100 always put something away every time you get paid.
I agree but I think that from home parents should set the example to their children too on the subject and thanks Myrna for sharing your comment
Money management, budgeting, saving, investing, goal setting, debt management, managing a credit card!

I think that u all got a great point slavery is definitely true and was definitely wrong and should of never exist in the first place
I agree with you Craig slavery shouldn’t have ever existed, but the reality is that it did and there has got to be a special kind of someone to teach it if it is going to be taught in school otherwise it going to be like opening an old wound out of which will come nothing short of chaos anyway thanks for sharing your comment
Jacqueline, dear yes I hear you and I understand your experience growing up. I live in England and growing up facing so much Racism, and racist attacked, bur when I decided to learn about Slavery I didn’t start hate or angry towards white people no, it leaning a education given myself knowledge. Anyway yoir opinion is noted and respect.Thank you for your disagreement your opinion!! You are so welcome 😘🩷💕
Yes I do understand you, but, it is a important part of everyone history even the white people it’s there important part of history too and it still should be teaching in schools regardless of our experience in school growing up. It’s history!!
I can’t take that from you, you feel how you feel, but I just think in my opinion that it wouldn’t be a good idea and that’s based off of what’s happening now a days. I simply told you about what happened in my earlier days to get you to understand why I said that teaching these kids these days something like that I can’t see it not without it being a mess so much chaos. I live in the United States over here the kids are very out of control they don’t listen to parents or anyone else who is an authority figure they think they are grown. I think it is best to not even try to do it that would be an absolute disaster.
When I was growing up in school in the 60’s and 70’s we went though racism every day and every day we had no chance but to fight to protect our girls and ourselves!! Almost every day we were racist attacked by whites going home. But even so ii still think it should bee teach in schools. But, yes you are completely correct, the best people to teach us is our great parents, my grandparents teach me everything from her great mother and her great mother! That this I agree with you. There is no one more better then our grandparents!! Thank you Jacqueline, for your disagreement I really appreciate you so much we can learn!! You are so welcome 😘💞💕
I totally disagree, we black people are more stronger then you think, we are more mentally to learn about our family our people and to learn about the beginning on how it all happened. Its a history that should be in schools like any other history, why leave out the bad part of history about what the white people did and only have to good part of history they done!! Many black kids are confused because they don’t know the history on what happened to there family their people. It’s a must part of history that should be teaching in schools!! You shouldn’t let your mind think like them and say it shouldn’t be in schools!!
David I experienced chaos when I was in school every year over racism the was acted out in the movie roots whenever that movie was played there was a riot that lasted every day for at least a week. The black students would attack the white students, and it was so bad people got hurt the police had to be called to get the situation under control. That was in my days which was quite a few years ago. So, I can only imagine the youth of today what they would do who are already totally out of control. I think if it is going to be taught it should be by parents or better yet grandparents who could better explain about slavery and racist existent. Who better than those who has experienced those times than actual grandparents or if they are still around great or even great great grandparents who were the ones who really experienced the blunt of it. The school cannot explain to students the subject not with offending some hardest they may try not to which in turn can and will no doubt these days cause chaos.

That is what councilors are for I mean they could teach it in school but the outcome may not be good because each individual have different issues that causes them to act out, A school wouldn’t be able to teach students on that level not without knowing the root of the problem per student in order to implement it as a course for all students thanks Andre for sharing your comment
