That’s awesome, Leanna! Proverbs 22:6, scriptures says to raise up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it! Great job, Leanna!
You are welcome!
I think if you teach them at a young age it would be easier. Once they are teens it becomes really difficult because they would have got used to you doing the laundry for them. When I was growing up ,my mum would tell instruct the housemaid not to do my laundry. So I grew up doing my laundry myself. At that time I thought she was being cruel but she was preparing me for the future. If she did not do that I am sure I would have struggled when I left home. You can just involve them when you are doing the laundry so that they would easily show interest. That’s what I did with my daughter.
I agree teach them when they are young. Both my boys help me with the laundry. My oldest is 7 and if I’m busy doing something and need to switch the laundry to the dryer he knows how to do that without me. It’s a big help and thank you for your comment
You are most welcome
I think it can be early as 5. My grandson who will be turning 5 is interested in anything that helps you. He always asks if he can Windex windows, vacuum and wash dishes and rake leaves. (I double check the dishes, lol) He knows all his colors, the alphabet and has a great memory. He has my codes memorized for my phone and the tablet. He loves to cook too. I could teach him about laundry❗
My five year loves helping me cook too. I know my oldest is 7 and he helps with the laundry .
In America 🇺🇸 did you see the 7 years ago boy a successful candy business on the TV news? His business was so successful that it win the business of the year. He give thousands of money to Charity. He candy candy business was so successful the the Prime minister of England invited the 7 years old boy to Downing Street in London City. Can you imagine a 7 years old boy win the business of the year a very successful entrepreneur. His own candy factory. Anyway forget about the TV news. According to the question I think 10 years a kid should be doing laundry
I started doing my laundry at the age of ten.My mother had me start off by watching and by hand washing some of my clothes The best age to have them start is eight years old. They are able to write, read, know what channels to switch on and off at that age.The pre adolescent years are the best time for this responsibility.
I would say start them out after they learn their colors. I think a good age would be around seven or a little after. They can begin by knowing the difference of why sorting their whites from the deep dark and other colors are important. When the adult feel confident that they know how to operate the washing machine and dryer properly, how to measure the detergent, how many clothes to put in the machine at one time and when to put into the dryer, then it’s time.
That’s a good answer. My 7 years old helps me with the laundry . He even asks if he can switch them over for me when the washer is done.
I think kids are old enough to help with laundry around age seven or eight. Probably just a little older if they’re going to actually do the laundry by themselves as far as choosing cycle/temp for the clothes, etc. maybe age 10 or up for that!
I don’t let me 7 year old wash laundry yet but he does switch them out for me when I’m busy.

Amen Sister and Thank you
