I think it is best to keep quiet and pray for him. I am sure one day God will touch his heart and he will eventually realise his nagging behaviour and stop. That is all I can say in this instance. Sorry if this has not been of great help
You are most welcome.
Jacquelin, thankyou for your submission. Let me say as it is.Real men dont submit to their wives, they burden to provide leadership and are mandated by God to LOVE their wives. If a woman demands submission from her man, she is invariably switching the roles and twisting the ordinance of God for a successful and sustainable marriage relationship. That’s does mean the woman’s opinion does not count, but she can suggest but not call the shots even if she pays the bills. This is a biblical order.
- Vitginia i totally understand what you are saying, i speak as a man, nagging for men is a deep thing. It scarely happens for petty reasons. In general men are not petty, if a husband nags, then the woman is not doing right by her man. AS A MAN, NAGGING IS NOT OUR THING. The woman should check herself. Talking about love, loving a woman with obnoxious character is worst than eating rice mixed with stones. Submission makes love easy.
Stephen, I agree with most of what you said except that last part a man should also be submissive to his wife
If a husband is nagging the question should be why is he? What is the wife doing or better yet not doing? For the husband to constantly nag it means something is not, right? What I’m saying is a man married or not would not be complaining like that and so often if he was getting what he needed from his wife. All that nagging could very well be just because he is tired of what he expects of his wife to keep falling on deaf ears and is clearly not being heard obviously since he keeps repeating himself over and over again until he just says forget it. So, when you ask what to do about a nagging husband in my opinion that wife needs to reevaluate what she is doing and makes some changes or if she don’t think that it’s worth the effort then she needs to have a long conversation with her husband about whether the marriage is worth saving. Whatever the decision may be the nagging cannot be ignored because no one complains like that without cause or reason.
Unfortunately, I have never experienced that, so cant advise on that aspect. I have the opposite problem, where my husband has shut down and doesn’t communicate at all. Not even a silent treatment, just depression or things not going his way in life, hit so hard that he has mentally and physically shut down. I’d actually appreciate him nagging at some point.
I’m sorry to hear that Dawn, prayers sweet friend
Thank you and I hope you come up with an idea how to deal with the nagging.
Nagging is a trait alien to men in general. If man nags then, he probably has a stiff-necked woman for a wife. I would say, to the woman wether she is right or wrong, she should learn to submit to the leadership of her husband. Very sad to say, a nagging husband, is feeling unheared. The woman should just listen.
I disagree with you Stephen on this one. A husband is meant to love his wife not nagging. Yes he is the leader of the house that does not give him the right to undermine his wife. The two are joined together in matrimony and they become one. So love and respect should be reciprocal.
yeah that’s true
I don’t know, I never experienced that, but I would pray a lot about it and give it to God! He will help you for sure!🥰🥰
It’s hard to manage him but if you can have patience and a lot of prayer surely you will cope with him
Amen ♥️
I can’t explain that because am still single for now and never prayed to experienced such
You will fine a good husband okay anyway am single too
My husband says something every day regarding my “clutter”.
I am not a hoarder, but I am a saver, and he is a throw away person. I find ways to re-use, donate and share. I recycle too and will say I now have him trained on recycling.
I address him with a tilt head and a smile. I confirm that I am working on my tasks telling him this out loud and with hug❣🤗
I promised that I am having a rummage sale this year in 2026. I am shooting for Spring so I will have Summer and Fall as backup, 🙃
You manage a nagging husband by stopping the cycle calmly and firmly. First, recognize that nagging usually comes from anxiety, lack of clarity, or feeling unheard, not because you’re failing. When he repeats himself, acknowledge once and set a boundary: let him know you heard him and that repeated reminders are not helpful. Be specific about what you will do and when you will do it, because vagueness invites more nagging. Then follow through—reliability reduces the need for reminders. Avoid arguing, over-explaining, or responding emotionally, because that reinforces the behavior. If the nagging continues, disengage by changing the subject or leaving the room instead of debating. At a calm moment, have one direct conversation where you explain that repeated reminders make you feel managed rather than respected, and that you need trust and clear communication instead. If the behavior is constant and doesn’t change despite boundaries, it may point to deeper issues like control or chronic anxiety, which may require a more serious conversation or outside support. The key is consistency: clear communication, firm boundaries, and calm follow-through.

Thank you
