Many people pleads guilty for crimes that they haven’t committed due to lack of knowledge or funds. So they take a plea deal confessing to a crime that they did not commit in hopes of a lesser sentence .Should their confession be thrown out due to the lack of counseling, ( such as having a lawyer present)
Thank you Josie, even doe my comment was negative. Its not the people I don’t like, it’s the system. I Have many family and friends all over America, and I travel there many times!! The system, the government and the policy’s, it hasn’t change at all for over 4 hounderds years it’s still the same. You are so welcome Josie!! 😘💞💕
If they chose not to have a lawyer and confess having done something then they should be jailed. I am sure the court would also make thorough investigations.
Thank you for your response. There are people who ends up going to jail for crimes that they haven’t committed but because their lawyer didn’t fight the fight they took a plea deal in hopes of a lesser sentence, or none at all.
No, but if they don’t have funds for a lawyer the court normally appoints one here in the US. If someone’s confession was thrown out due to lack of legal counsel, then it would be the same for someone who confessed and really did commit the crime.
True, but a person can feel scared, overwhelmed and pressured/trapped into confessing to a crime that he/she did or did not commit. How many times has a court appointed attorney encourage someone to take a deal whether they are guilty or not.
Thanks for answering.
That’s true unfortunately. You’re very welcome Josie!
I wouldn’t know, I really don’t get involve with America and anything to do with America it don’t interest me at all and I don’t want anything to do with the country.
Well thank you for your input

Thank you Mr Beckford, I appreciate your response and your honesty! Wish the system wasn’t the way it is but it is,and it’s sad. You have a blessed day
