One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever gotten is to “focus on what you can control.” It’s honestly such a simple thing, but it’s made such a huge difference in how I handle stress. Life can be really unpredictable, and there’s always stuff happening that you can’t control. But when you let go of worrying about things you can’t change, it’s like a weight lifts off your shoulders. You can put your energy into what’s actually in your power—your mindset, your choices, your actions. It’s all about feeling more in control and not letting everything overwhelm you.

I was young and sitting at my fiances moms house while he went to work out of town. I was boohooing when l discovered he was cheating thinking poor me and whats she got i dont. His mom came in and gave me the best advice of young adult life. She said Amber did u do anything wrong? I was taken back but answered, “No mamm.” She then said,” then stop punishing yourself stupid.” Still great advice to this day.
If u ask your partner , in life ,in business, in general to do something for you, with you, or to you, and they tell you no. Then Im sorry My friend you did not ask the right way. I know it sounds kinda messed up but this applies to all partnerships not just relationships.
For me, my mom said to me when I was a teen, and being black and native american, you cannot just be good a what you do when it comes to your job or ability and skills. You have to be the best. A job I had years ago, I dealt with some racism. After six months, I was the best and everyone there saw it. After a year went by, two people left the company, One was ill and the other was moving. The company gave me their jobs. I was doing my job and two others. They also gave me a one year perfect attendance award. I have to strive to be the best.

I would say, ” Don’t settle.” But because of that I feel I have missed out on so many things I wanted to do to this point.
So, I am going to say I am still waiting on the best advice I have ever been given.
Yes ma’am, I agree. Never settle. Know your worth!
Thank you Felicia!
The best piece of advice that I’ve ever been given was, Take your time, weigh all options carefully, and trust your gut instincts. Of course, my instincts are very strong, I can often tell that something is wrong just by listening to someone talk. I can tell when someone is lying or when they’re hiding something. Of course, my gut instincts are what told me that my ex-husband was cheating on me.

That it a good one Denise that i need to be reminded of.
