To answer your question in the manner it is worded, yes, it’s your cake. What else are you supposed to do with it?
Yet, even still, whomever invented the phrase, “You can’t have your cake and eat it too,” “You just wanna have your cake and eat it too,” should have thought of something else to mean “wanting something in excess,” “wanting more of what one already has,” or “wanting what they have and what others have in addition.” Or, in other words, being greedy or unsatisfied.
I’m not sure why anyone would bake or buy a cake just to have it. To have cake is to eat cake. Unless you absolutely despise cake, but a fond of baking them for fun to collect them, (a difficult hobby to maintain considering the perishable feature & storage), it’s the only way i see one having cake and not eating it.
Maybe it would’ve been better to say something such as,
“You can’t have your cake and eat everyone else’s too,” or,
“You just wanna have your cake and eat everyone else’s too.”
I dunno. It’s just my opinion.
I tend to drift at times and usually will catch myself, before it’s too late. At other times, it’s too late. LoL However, another time you can have your cake and eat it is at your party!
Also, thank you, Ben for your intuitive response. Have a great evening.
Can I have the cherry on top as well?
That’s pushing it
Hahaha. If I can share my cake, that will be my cherry on top..
Who wants to eat cake alone – Who wants to be alone and successfully?
It’s like living in a mortgage free house and think you don’t have to pay taxes on the property. In my state, you do have to pay the taxes.
You have to pay taxes for everything nowadays, it stinks. Thank you for your answer
You are welcome!
Well the best way I can explain it is a man who has a wife and a girlfriend on the side.
Yes, good example, but when he is found out to be a no good cheat he will regret it. Thank you for your answer
Thank you Ben and you’re welcome
My understanding of that is something you go through and at the end of struggle you had to puch through and become as a better person
That’s an interesting way of looking at it, thank you for your answer
I think some of the times, one needs a personal decisions to make things work through. For example, one cannot keep going around, ask people to help on his financial future. Some will just misadvise, unless you can hire a professional.
I think I get what you mean, you can have everything you want, if you make the right descions?

That is some deep thinking there Latasha, I like it. Thank you
