Have you ever disliked someone but became friends later. For me they way I became best of friends with my friend was really funny. We were working at the same place but different departments. I would see her and never say good morning and she would do the same. Now what happened was really God’s work. We met in one of the butcheries she bought meat and turkey. Accidentally I grabbed one of her bags. So when I got home I discovered there was turkey in one of the bags. Straight away I knew it was this lady’s bag. I kept it in the fridge and the following day I took it to work and asked her whether it was hers. This was first time I spoke to her. She was so happy and thanked me. She commented that I was very honesty. That was how our friendship started. I discovered she was really a nice person down to earth and I had no reason to dislike her.
Yes, I have. I remember an experience with a member of my church. At first, I misunderstood her personality and assumed we wouldn’t get along. Our interactions felt distant, and I honestly didn’t see us becoming friends. However, over time, we worked together in church activities and had more conversations. I began to understand her perspective, character, and intentions. That changed everything. I realized my initial judgment was based on assumptions, not facts. Today, we’re good friends, and that experience taught me the importance of patience, openness, and giving people a chance before forming conclusions.
There was someone I couldn’t stand because they seemed cold and unfriendly. Whenever I greeted them, they barely responded, so I assumed they were proud or rude. One day, during a difficult moment in my life, they unexpectedly showed me kindness and support. That single act completely changed how I saw them. I later learned they were just naturally shy and reserved. With time, we grew close, and today they are one of my most trusted friends.
At first, I really disliked this person because they always corrected me in meetings, which felt embarrassing and arrogant. I thought they were trying to make me look bad. Over time, we were forced to work closely on the same project. As we collaborated, I realized they weren’t trying to undermine me—they were just very direct and focused on results. We started communicating better, learned to respect each other’s strengths, and eventually became good friends. Now, we actually laugh about how wrong our first impressions were.
I am a naturally quiet person, can be somewhat of a loner when I need to be, but I try my best to not judge people before giving it a chance of becoming social. However, if you do something that I can’t let go and I am constantly thinking about it. I tend to start distancing myself, especially if I don’t really know you. I won’t not like a person for no reason.
You are welcome great question!
Yes, because of the news I heard about her, I disliked her but when I learnt the truth, I loved her more than I can imagine and we became best of friends
Its hasn’t occurred to me yet…
Yes, I have someone dislike me, but who asked me to help now. I am happy to help and become good friend now.
True statement
Yes oo.
He treated me so bad on the first day of my new school, he was so notorious yet the best in class. After 2 weeks he knew I was far better than him in mathematics. We were then paired together for a debate, we gradually became friends
Thank you Martins for your answer. Your friend realised he could benefit from your knowledge of Maths so he had to make an effort to bring you closer to him as a result through communication you got to know one another better and became friends. Very interesting indeed.
I have disliked someone before and we later became friends
Thanks John for your answer. Stay blessed.
Yeah, actually. There was someone I really didn’t get along with at first we just rubbed each other the wrong way. I thought they were arrogant, and they thought I was standoffish. But over time we ended up in a few situations where we had to work together, and I realized I’d judged them way too fast. Once we actually talked and got to know each other, we found out we had a lot in common. Now we’re genuinely good friends. Funny how that happens sometimes.
I am sure God has a way of brining peace in our lives. In your case you had to work with someone you disliked and surprisingly you became friends. Thanks so much Ethienne for your participation.
yes a good friend of mine now, l didn’t like him before. But as time goes on we became friends
It is very pleasing when people who did not like each other before end up friends. Thanks so much for your contribution

Thanks so much Josie for your answer. I can relate with everything you said. Stay blessed
